About psycho-test

Last updated: 2026-05-20

What is this?

psycho-test is a multilingual collection of 1-minute psychology quizzes. Started in 2025 by a one-person studio, it now hosts 70 tests across 5 languages — Korean, English, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Indonesian.

Six categories (personality, love, career/aptitude, relationships, lifestyle, fun/meme), each test short to take but with depth on the result side. Every result type comes filled with six expansion fields: one-line aphorism, what you do well, what drains your energy, what you need from others, ideal environment, growth tip. Not just "you are type X."

Notable features: group mode (take it with friends in a group chat, pair-matching scores), friend compare (answers encoded into a URL for 1:1 comparison cards), MBTI cross-test matching, embed widget for third-party sites, OG result cards. No signup, fully free.

How the content is made (transparent disclosure)

The recipe: human designs, LLMs accelerate, human curates. To be open about it:

  • Korean (base): Every test's questions, choices, result types, and scoring weights are designed by hand. Initial descriptions, traits, matchWith, and beware fields are written by hand.
  • 6 expansion fields (oneLiner, goodAt, drainsYou, etc.): The operator hand-writes 1–2 reference tests for tone, then Claude Sonnet 4.5 fills the remaining tests in a consistent voice. Each result is reviewed.
  • Translations into 4 languages: Claude Haiku 4.5 translates from the Korean base with language-specific tone guidance (English: casual and punchy; Japanese: タメ口寄り, etc.).
  • Character images: FLUX dev (via Replicate) generates a per-result 16:9 PNG; Gemini 2.5 Flash produces English visual hints.

This is not scraped or auto-mass-produced content. Every test concept and design is human; LLMs are tools that let one person fill a deeper amount of content in the same voice. Outputs go back through a human review.

Credibility and limits

All tests here are entertainment and self-reflection content. They are not formal psychological assessments (such as MMPI, PHQ, BDI), and cannot replace clinical diagnosis.

Clinically adjacent topics (ADHD, psychopathy, sociopathy, dark triad, depression, anxiety) are loosely inspired by real instruments, but the result is just pattern-matching on your answers. If a result worries you or affects your daily life, please consult a qualified mental-health professional. The disclaimer is repeated on every clinically adjacent result page.

What makes it different

  • 5 languages simultaneously — Korean, English, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indonesian. 350 content files.
  • Depth on the result side — six expansion fields make the result useful for actual self-reflection.
  • Group mode — take it with up to 12 friends; pair-matching scores auto-compute.
  • Friend compare — answers encoded into a URL for 1:1 comparison cards.
  • Embed — paste an iframe and a test runs anywhere.
  • Original character art — every result has its own 16:9 PNG via FLUX dev.

Operating policy & business model
